Synopsis

Fall Quarter Teaser

In a backwater mountain cottage, two couples—one old and passionless, the other young and hotheaded—await a gathering storm, each unaware of the other’s presence. Old Graylady and Grayman wander the cottage, bemoan their listless marriage, and cook soup. Young Blondeboy and Blondegirl fight, scheme, deceive and also cook soup—unaware that their dramatics may be deciding the fates of their future selves.

Things come to a head when Blondeboy takes drastic and murderous action to end the secret double life he is leading and permanently replace uncivilized Blondegirl with the very proper Ginger. But what he doesn’t anticipate is the power of his conscience, the vengeance of the future, or what’s about to come out of his refrigerator—his just-dead first wife, resurrected as the Witch. With the Witch’s presence, the two realities—that of the young, and that of the old—become suddenly aware of each other. In this sinister comedy with an absurd edge, each of the five characters must now confront the past to have any chance at living to see a future.
